Women’s Virtual Production Training — Program Completed

I’ve just completed the Women’s Virtual Production Training, a hybrid program by the Institute of Immersive Mediain collaboration with Netflix — and it was an incredibly inspiring experience.

The program combined two intense days in the LED CAVE in Berlin with remote sessions connecting international groups, as well as home assignments that allowed us to keep learning, experimenting, and receiving feedback beyond the on-site workshop. This mix made the experience feel dynamic, connected, and truly international.

What made it especially powerful was the people: a group of talented, curious, and supportive creatives, all exploring how virtual production is changing the way we tell stories. The exchange of ideas, workflows, and perspectives was energizing and opened up so many new creative possibilities.

I’m leaving this program with new skills, new connections, and a lot of creative momentum. I’m excited to bring what I’ve learned into my upcoming projects and continue exploring this evolving field of immersive and virtual filmmaking.

A big thank-you to Christina, Nils, Lucas and Patrice from the Institute of Immersive Media who this possible. Many thanks to Rhiannon from NETFLIX to push for this initiative and all the technical department and my lovely fellow participants how made this journey so special — it was an experience I’ll carry forward.
